Coccyx sufferers find it helpful as it relieves the pressure on the coccyx.
The unique chest support allows you to lean forward and take the weight off the spine whilst supporting a more natural curve.
The design of the chest support does not obstruct movement of the arms and can be adjusted in height to suit the individual.
The Support Alternative comes with one lever, allowing varying angle of the seat and backrest.
This gives the user the benefit of adjusting their position to suit their needs when working at various heights and tasks.
The addition of the seat angle adjustment gives the user additional scope for placing the angle of the seat in just the right place, increasing comfort. It can be used as a sit-stand support stool or for chest support.

The alternative support chair is a great chair for coccyx pain. It has a tiltable seat, which allows you to sit on it ‘back to front’. It has a chest support , instead of a back, and you lean onto this when you sit, to lift the coccyx off the seat. It is height adjustable, and comfortable enough for use all day. I have felt a noticeable difference the moment I sat in it.”
