What Is an Ergonomics Workplace Needs Assessment?
A Workplace Needs Assessment, more precisely, an Ergonomics Workplace Needs Assessment Grant evaluation, is your first step toward identifying necessary workplace adjustments. This structured, evidence-based review is often required to access funding and helps ensure that employees with injuries, disabilities, or chronic conditions can work safely and comfortably.
It is your roadmap to a healthier working life. It’s a structured evaluation led by occupational therapists with ergonomic expertise, designed to support people with physical or cognitive limitations by identifying what needs to change in their job, setup, or work habits.
Typically recommended for individuals who:
-
Are recovering from a recent injury or surgery
-
Have a long-term health condition or disability
-
Experience recurring pain or discomfort at work
-
Are transitioning back to work after medical leave
