9 Back Care Tips
Back care must become part of our daily life. 80% of adults suffer from back pain at some stage in their lives. Here are some back care tips to help you avoid back problems.
1. When standing, watch your posture.
2. Sit upright - don't slouch. Sit with your hips a bit higher than your knees and your feet flat on the floor - or flat on a footrest. Try to be aware of how you sit, after a while you'll have taught yourself good posture.
3. Change your position frequently while sitting and get up and move every 30 minutes
4. Include body stretches in your day.
5. Drink water - a hydrated body heals quicker, works better.
6. Lift correctly - using your leg muscles not your back.
7. Always bend your knees and hips not your back.
8. Exercise regularly.
9. Maintain a healthy weight.
