Ergonomic Course: Cost Effective Ergonomics
The research-driven course will allow attendees to familiarise themselves with the modern thinking in ergonomics and the newest and most effective solutions in preventing Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs).
The course will be focused on the office environment. It will enable attendees to prevent and manage occupational injuries among employees. It will examine research done around the problem areas and how best to tackle them.
The course will cover:
1. How the most common injuries for office based workers can be caused due to the work environment.
2. How these can be significantly reduced in the office by creating an ergonomic environment.
3. Cost/Benefit analysis of creating an ergonomic environment in the workplace
4. Understanding what is available - with break out session for testing
5. How to set up a chair and workstation ergonomically
6. Sitting school - How to minimise strain while sitting.
After the course participants will:
Manage employee injuries more effectively
Be able to apply your knowledge to future seating and equipment procurement. Be supplied with an occupational health pack to help them diagnose the most appropriate solution for each particular problem area. The pack goes through the common Work Related Injuries and provides the potential solutions taking into account the probable cause.

He provides ergonomic training for mulit-national companies, assessment companies, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and chiropractors. He also gives guest lectures in ergonomics in a number of Universities.
