Why do you need footrests and posture supports?

Footrests

Footrests provide the necessary support for your legs where your feet do not touch the ground.  Our range of footrests for high benches have a greater range of height adjustability.

Many of our height adjustable footrests can be adjusted with your foot, helping you to avoid bending your back unnecessarily. An ideal ergonomic solution in multi user environments.

Often our office desks are a given height that can be to high for some users.  An office footrest is the ergonomic solution when this happens.  The smaller person can adjust their office chair to suit their desk height and use a footrest so they their feet can rest.  This takes the pressure off the thighs and helps you avoid back pain.

Footrests ensure exactly the right angle between your thigh and upper body thus relieving pressure and improving blood circulation.

That is why the EEC directive governing the minimum health and safety requirements for the workplace specifies the following:

“When seated, the employee’s feet must be in contact with the floor or a footrest”.

Posture Supports

Lumbar supports will fit the curve of your back perfectly and help prevent back pain. Seat wedges will help improve your posture as they raise your hips and help you sit comfortably and pain free.
