Height Adjustable Desks

Choosing the correct office desk that allows good posture is essential for good workstation ergonomics and avoiding painful computer-related injury.

Electric height adjustable desks are ideal for people who suffer from back pain. You can set your own comfortable desk height at the touch of a button to ensure good posture.

It is unnatural to sit in the same position for more than a few minutes at a time. So, it is understandable that 7 – 8 hours of continuous screen work will put a strain on the body.   Movement is important because it is natural and that applies to our daily work.  In Scandinavia, Sit-Stand desks are used in 80% of offices.

Ergonomists recommend we stand for 20% of our working day.

Conventional desks were designed in the 1940’s for an average height of 5’6”.   The taller person has the most problems, having to stoop frequently to carry out their day-to-day activities.

An efficient way of changing the load and the work posture is to stand up when working, for example at a desk that can be raised and lowered.  There is less strain on the back when standing than when sitting and leaning forward or sitting upright without support.  Alternate, between standing and sitting work several times per day.

Ergonomic office furniture ensures all users are comfortable at their work and that the office furniture is suitable for their needs.

The height adjustable desk solves the problem for taller people, people with back pain, multi-users and is also suitable for wheelchair users and those with disabilities.
